Government organized consultative session on CPEC at P&D Complex Lahore.
Punjab Planning and Development in collaboration with Industries, Commerce & Investment Department organized a joint consultative session on Industrial Cooperation under China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) held at P&D Complex Lahore.
Provincial Minister for Industries, Commerce & Investment Sheikh Allauddin presided over the session, while representatives from FPCCI, Chamber bodies and business community attended the session.
The purpose of the session was to take all stakeholders and business community on board when firming up proposals from Government of Punjab for inclusion in the CPEC Plan. During the session, detailed discussions were held on identification of potential sectors, sites and policy framework to capture the full benefits of this ‘Game Changer’ project in the context of Punjab.
Addressing the session, Punjab Minister Sheikh Allauddin said that Punjab Government remains committed to provide prosperous life to general public. 60% to 70% accessories relating to electric article are being supplied from Sargodha District to across the Pakistan. Thoughts on CPEC will be removed soon for facilitation of the Business Community. The relevant focal person will be nominated in the Industry Department to facilitate and coordinate with the Chambers Federation and Industrial bodies.
