Punjab Planning & Development Department organized Condolence Reference Session in the memory of deceased Former Chairman Planning & Development Tariq Sultan at P&D Complex Lahore.
Chairman P&D Punjab Muhammad Jahanzeb Khan, Secretary P&D Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, Former Chairman P&D Suleman Ghani, Humayun Farshoori, Members P&D Board Agha Waqar Javed, Sadaqat Hussain, Khalid Sultan, Mukhtar Ahmad Noal, Rai Javed Ahmad, Additional Secretary P&D Dr. Shahid Adil, Son of Late Chairman Usman Tariq Sultan, Chief Economist P&D Dr. Amanullah, Director PERI Dr. Mumtaz, Family Members of Late Tariq Sultan & Administration wing of P&D Department attended the session.
Addressing the condolence reference session, Chairman P&D Jahanzeb Khan said that “Every Soul shall have a taste of Death”. Chairman has expressed his profound grief on behalf of P&D Department over the sad demise of former Chairman P&D Tariq Sultan. P&D Department offer condolence to the bereaved family and also prayed that almighty Allah rest the departed soul in eternal peace and give them courage and patience to bear the irreparable lose, Chairman P&D added. During the session, Chairman Jahanzeb Khan highlighting the Government Services delivered by Late Tariq Sultan paid great tribute to him. He also thanked the family members of the Late Tariq Sultan participated in the condolence reference. Chairman P&D Jahanzeb Khan reiterated that deceased Tariq Sultan Formal Chairman P&D was the photo type image personality of Civil Service Academy Old School. He was the great & perfect teacher of Economics subject. He also had a command on Economic Development. He was a thorough gentleman nice fellow. He served during the service with hardworking, honestly & diligently. He trained so many Government Servants by using his special capabilities.
At the session, Secretary P&D Iftikhar Ali Sahoo highlighting the practical life of deceased said that Tariq Sultan Ex-Chairman P&D started his career as a lecturer of Economics in the Government College University Lahore. After that he joined Civil Service Pakistan as a Government Official. He remained posted in different Divisions of Punjab Province as a Commissioner. He also enjoyed the post of Chairman Punjab Bank & Chairman Punjab Public Service Commission Lahore.
Humayun Farshoori Former Chairman P&D said that Late Tariq Sultan was a dead honest, simple & the man of dignity as solid steel. He delivered lectures on micro economics in the Civil Service Academy in 1973. He warmly welcomed all the Government Officials including general public in his office for providing guidance in right track.
Suleman Ghani Former Chairman P&D also highlighted the life of Late Tariq Sultan said that the good family relations with him for a last teen age. Suleman Ghani was in the age of 15 years old then he got training for playing cricket from the senior coach member of Punjab Cricket Club Lahore Tariq Sultan Late. Suleman Ghani also said that Former Chairman P&D Tariq Sultan was the accidental bureaucrat. He was the intelligent officer cum great teacher.
At the last son of Late Chairman Usman Tariq Sultan, brother of Late Member P&D Khalid Sultan also spoke on the occasion. Participants also prayed for departed soul.
