The Provincial Development Working Party Punjab approved Thirty development schemes of various development Sectors with an estimated cost of PKR. 25,457.807 Million.
This scheme was approved in the 47th meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) of current fiscal year 2014-15 presided over by the Punjab Chairman P&D Board Muhammad Irfan Elahi. Provincial Secretary P&D Waseem Ajmal Chaudhary, Members of the Planning & Development Board, Provincial Secretary concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant Provincial Departments also attended the meeting.
According to Spokesman for P&DD, the approved development scheme included:
- Third Party Evaluation of Literacy Projects (PC-II) at the cost of PKR. 17.800 Million
- Feasibility Study for installation of Cable Cars Murree (Phase-I) (Revised) (PC-II) at the cost of PKR. 227.846 Million
- Improvement of Jhal Khanuana Chowk, Faisalabad (Revised) at the cost of PKR. 2533.797 Million
- Establishment of Government General Hospital, Haseeb Shaheed Park, Chak No.224/RB, Faisalabad at the cost of PKR. 1516.628 Million
- Up-Gradation of District Headquarters Hospital Toba Tek Singh at the cost of PKR. 451.329 Million
- Establishment of new campus of King Edward Medical University at Muridke-Narowal Road in Knowledge City, Sheikhupura (PC-II) at the cost of PKR. 175.507 Million
- Construction of roads in PKLI and RI Centre, Lahore at the cost of PKR. 253.650 Million
- Upgradation of Cardiology Services at Punjab Institute of Cardiology, Lahore at the cost of PKR. 158.120 Million
- Construction/Expansion of 150 bedded wards (New Block) for Provision of Sub-Specialist Services at Children Hospital Complex, Multan at the cost of PKR. 1877.352 Million
- Completion of DHQ building for conversion into Kidney Centre Multan at the cost of PKR. 312.366 Million
- Widening/improvement of road from Kanday Wala Bridge to Derawar Fort (All 03 Sections) District Bahawalpur (Revised) at the cost of PKR. 232.141 Million
- Hiring of Transaction Advisor for : (PC-II), construction of restaurant, gymnasium, swimming pool, 3-D Cinema, community hall, mini zoo etc. in Shahbaz Sharif Park (City Park), Gujrat Under PPP Mode and development of Joyland in Shahbaz Sharif Park (City Park), Gujrat Under PPP Mode at the cost of PKR. 19.825 Million
- Widening/improvement of road from Kot Nainan to Sukho Chak length: 26.50 km, Narowal at the cost of PKR. 446.056 Million
- Land acquisition for Jhang Chiniot Road from Mile No. 52 to 53.40 in District Chiniot at the cost of PKR. 735.489 Million
- Construction of road from Bhatiot to Village Boota length:12.18 km, District Attock (Revised) at the cost of PKR. 260.785 Million
- Widening/improvement of Lahore Sargodha Mianwali Bannu Road Art 2, 297.80 to 344.00= 46.20 km and Jinnah Barrage Link Road length: 7.71 km to 2.20 km= 5.51. total length=51.71 km in District Mianwali (Revised) at the cost of PKR. 2042.302 Million
- Widening/improvement of Mian Pakhi, Ratta Tibba via Pakhi More (DM Road) length: 26.00 km, District Vehari at the cost of PKR. 307.651 Million
- Widening and rehabilitation of road Lahore-Kasur-Khudian-Depalpur-Pakpattan-Vehari Multan Road Section Gagoo to Burewala from 536.93 to 553.23 km, length: 16.30 km, Vehari (Revised) at the cost of PKR. 451.774 Million
- Widening/improvement of Bosan Road (from BZU to Adda Sahi Chawan) length: 21.00 km in District Multan at the cost of PKR. 548.857 Million
- Widening and rehabilitation of Road Mumtazabad Railway Overhead Bridge Bahawalpur Byepass Multan (Section Government College of Technology Multan to Bahawalpur Byepass Multan) length: 2.2 km Multan at the cost of PKR. 339.923 Million
- Construction of dual carriageway from Ganaish Wah Canal to Katchery Chowk length: 2.00 km in Muzaffargarh City at the cost of PKR. 273.523 Million
- Flood Protection of Kamoke and Adjoining Areas (Revised) at the cost of PKR. 2203.088 Million, concrete side protection RD:0+000 to 38+425 & Concrete Lining RD 38+425 to 81+920 (Tail) of 1L Disty, Pakpattan (Revised) at the cost of PKR. 221.219 Million
- Management of Hill Torrent/Flood Protection of Rajanpur District (Phase-I) at the cost of PKR. 1718.886 Million
- Rehabilitation of Malik Branch and Gajjiani District, Bahawalnagar (Revised) at the cost of PKR. 748.700 Million
- Desilting and strengthening banks of drains, construction of Flood Bund along drains and closing/strengthening breaches along Nullahs at the cost of PKR. 613.501 Million
- Concrete side protection of Rakh Disty RD 0+000 to 81+180, District Kasur at the cost of PKR. 315.970 Million
- Engineering design of Jalalpur Irrigation Project (PC-II) at the cost of PKR. 695.960 Million
- Rehabilitation of Muridke Branch System, Sheikhupura (Revised) at the cost of PKR. 749.252 Million
- Flood protection of Sialkot Against Aik and Palkhu Nullahs, District Sialkot at the cost of PKR. 4008.51 Million
