The PDWP Approved Six Development Schemes of Various Development Sectors

The Provincial Development Working Party Punjab approved six development schemes of various development sectors with an estimated cost of PKR. 1200.884 Million.  

These schemes were approved in the 45th meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) of current fiscal year 2014-15 presided over by the Punjab Chairman P&D Board Muhammad Irfan Elahi. Provincial Secretary P&D Waseem Ajmal Chaudhary, Members of the Planning & Development Board, Provincial Secretary concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant Provincial Departments also attended the meeting.

According to Spokesman for P&DD, the approved development schemes included:

  • Third Party Evaluation of Literacy Projects (PC-II) at the cost of PKR. 18.386 Million
  • Hiring of consultant firm for survery/estimation for reconsturction of dangerous buildings of schools in Punjab  (PC-II) at the cost of PKR 31.584 Million
  • Security Measures of Nishtar Park Sports Complex, Lahore at the cost of PKR 232.104 Million
  • Registration of Geographical Indications (4th Revision) at the cost of PKR. 78.923 Million
  • Urban Sewerage Scheme for PP-33 (Islampura, Zafar Colony, Qartaba Town, Jauhar Colony, Sultan Town, Shirazi Park, Mujahid Colony, Ali Town, Gillwala, i/c Adjacent Colonies) & Abadies of PP-34 (Yousaf Park, Aziz Colony, Bashir Colony, Nawab Colony, Chak No.43-NB Jinnah Colony, New Satellite Town W,X,&Y Blocks) Sargodha City at the cost of PKR. 389.887 Million
  • Purchase of land for establishment of 2X55 MW coal fired power plants at M-3 Industrial City Faisalabad at the cost of PKR. 450.000 Million
