The Provincial Development Working Party Punjab approved fifteen development schemes of various development Sectors with an estimated cost of PKR. 13150.928 Million.
These schemes were approved in the 27th meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) of current fiscal year 2014-15 presided over by the Punjab Planning and Development Board Chairman, Muhammad Irfan Elahi, says P&D Spokesman. Provincial Secretary P&D Waseem Ajmal Chaudhary, members of the Planning & Development Board, Provincial Secretaries concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant Provincial Departments also attended the meeting.
According to spokesman for P&DD, the approved development schemes included:
- Non-Formal Education Promotion Project with Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) at the cost of PKR. 191.049 Million
- Third Party Evaluation of Literacy Projects.(PC-II) at the cost of PKR. 50.000 Million
- Extension of Building of Bahadur Sub-Campus of BZU at Layyah at the cost of PKR. 354.672 Million
- Establishment of Expansion of Emergency Service to Tehsils (Phase-II) at the cost of PKR. 1090.009 Million
- Punjab Water and Sanitation Academy Lahore at the cost of PKR. 673.251 Million
- Construction of Purpose Built Building for Archives Wing of S&GAD in Punjab Civil Secretariat, Lahore at the cost of PKR. 277.972 Million
- Dualization of Samundri-Rajana-Toba Tek Singh Road, length: 49 Km, Faisalabad / T.T. Singh at the cost of PKR. 3178.145 Million
- Widening/iImprovement of Jourian Chakri Road Including Missing Link Kachi Jourian to Choutra, length: 22.20 km, District Rawalpindi at the cost of PKR. 263.936 Million
- Construction of Bridge on River Ravi at Qutab Shahana in District Sahiwal at the cost of PKR. 1799.815 Million
- Widening/improvement of Bahawalnagar-Haroonabad Road length:53.00 km District Bahawalnagar (Revised) at the cost of PKR. 1502.315 Million
- Dual Carriageway with green belt and lights from Cantt Baker to Railway Station via Chowk Munir Shaheed (length: 2.65 km) District Bahawalpur at the cost of PKR. 513.241 Million
- Construction of Mahota Dam, Rawalpindi at the cost of PKR. 1861.985 Million
- Restoration of J-Head Spur RD. 167+000 of link No.1 Tehsil D.G. Khan at the cost of PKR. 147.247 Million
- Restoration of J-Head Super RD. 165+000 of Link No.1 Tehsil D.G. Khan at the cost of PKR. 278.578 Million
- Management of Hill Torrents in Irrigation Zone, D.G. Khan-Sori Lund, Vidore, Mithawan, Kaha & Chachar (Kaha Hill Torrent) at the cost of PKR. 968.713 Million
