P&D Observed Dengue Cleanliness Day

The Punjab Government is working hard to combat and stop the growth of Dengue Mosquito larvae as its first priority. The efforts against dengue are ongoing until its complete eradication. The Punjab Planning and Development Department, launching an extensive drive to avert the spread of dengue mosquitoes, here on Sunday observed the Dengue Cleanliness day at the P&D complex. All the sanitation staff ensured their presence in the P&D Office and participated in the cleanliness drive. During the cleanliness operation to eradicate dengue larvae, a special squad of the P&D Department carried out the operation during office hours at the P&D Complex. The P&D Deputy Secretary (Admn) Omar Asad inspected the dark areas, store rooms, washrooms, parking stands and open spaces in and around the P&D building. He monitored the entire operation. He, during his visit, appreciated the excellent arrangements for cleanliness at the P&D complex made by sanitation staff. On the occasion, Deputy Secretary P&D directed the concerned officials of the department to take the lead in monitoring cleanliness arrangements in their duty places. View Gallery
