Approved 15 development schemes

The Punjab Government on Thursday has approved 15 development schemes of different development Sectors with an estimated cost of Rs. 46320.312 million
These schemes were approved in the 4th meeting of Provincial Development Working Party of current fiscal year 2014-15 presided over by the Punjab Planning and Development Board Chairman, Muhammad Irfan Elahi, says P&D Spokesman.
Chief Economist P&D, Members of the Planning & Development Board, Provincial Secretaries concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant Provincial Departments also attended the meeting.
According to Spokesman P&D, the approved development schemes included: Establishment of Public Private Partnership (PPP) Cell in C&W Department (PC-II) at the cost of Rs. 21.58 million, Punjab Municipal Services Improvement Project –II (PMSIP-II) (Concept Clearance Paper) at the cost of Rs. 4500.000 million, Elimination of Sewage Inlets in Lahore Branch Canal from Harbanspura Interchange Lahore Ring Road to BRB Canal at the cost of Rs. 336.747 million, Construction of Multan Metro Project Corridor-I: BZU to Kumharan Chowk passing through the Major Intersections of Northern Bypass, Chungi No.6, Chungi No.9, Fish Market, Daulat Gate, Chungi No.14, BCG Chowk and Vehari Chowk, Approximate length=18 km. (Package 1: Bahauddin Zakaria University to Chungi No.6, length=5.625 km) at the cost of Rs. 4097.19 million, Construction of Multan Metro Project Corridor-I: BZU to Kumharan Chowk passing through the Major Intersections of Northern Bypass, Chungi No.6, Chungi No.9, Fish Market, Daulat Gate, Chungi No.14, BCG Chowk and Vehari Chowk, Approximate length=18 km. (Package 2: Chungi No.6 to Fish Market, length=3.273 km) at the cost of Rs. 3905.60 million, Construction of Multan Metro Project Corridor-I: BZU to Kumharan Chowk passing through Major Intersections of Northern Bypass, Chungi No.6, Chungi No.9, Fish Market, Daulat Gate, Chungi No.14, BCG Chowk and Vehari Chowk, Approximate length=18 km. (Package 3:Fish Market to Chungi No.14, length=1.171 km) at the cost of Rs. 2801.95 million, Construction of Multan Metro Project Corridor-I: BZU to Kumharan Chowk passing through the Major Intersections of Northern Bypass, Chungi No.6, Chungi No.9, Fish Market, Daulat Gate, Chungi No.14, BCG Chowk and Vehari Chowk, Approximate length=18 Km. (Package 4: Chungi No.14 to BCG Chowk and Segment of Vehari Road, length=2.331 km) at the cost of Rs. 3564.78 million, Construction of Multan Metro Project Corridor-I: BZU to Kumharan Chowk passing through the Major Intersections of Northern Bypass, Chungi No.6, Chungi No.9, Fish Market, Daulat Gate, Chungi No.14, BCG Chowk and Vehari Chowk, Approximate length=18 km. (Package 5: BCG Chowk to Chowk Kumharan, length=5.582 km) at the cost of Rs. 3773.94 million, Construction of Multan Metro Project Corridor-2: It starts from BCG Chowk and terminates at Chungi No. 9 passing through Shahbaz Chowk, Chowk Gala Gadaam, Double Phattak, SP Chowk, MBQ Chowk, Kalma Chowk, Katchery Chowk, and Chungi No.8, Approximate length=10.8 Km. (Package 6: BCG Chowk to Double Phatak, length=4.10 km) at the cost of Rs. 4044.23 million, Construction of Multan Metro Project Corridor-2: It starts from BCG Chowk And terminates at Chungi No. 9 Passing through Shahbaz Chowk, Chowk Gala Gadaam, Double Phattak, SP Chowk, MBQ Chowk, Kalma Chowk, Katchery Chowk, and Chungi No.8, Approximate length=10.8 km. (Package 7: Shah Abbass Chowk to Muhammad Bin Qasim Chowk, length=3.9 km) at the cost of Rs. 3609.82 million, Construction of Multan Metro Project Corridor-2: It starts from BCG Chowk and terminates at Chungi No. 9 Passing Through Shahbaz Chowk, Chowk Gala Gadaam, Double Phattak, SP Chowk, MBQ Chowk, Kalma Chowk, Katchery Chowk, and Chungi No.8, Approximate length=10.8 km. (Package 8: Muhammad Bin Qasim Chowk to Chungi No.9, length=2.823 km) at the cost of Rs. 4553.95 million, Construction of Multan Metro Project Corridor-2: (Extension): It starts from Double Phattak and terminates at Nagshah with Askari Chowk in between. Approximate length=7.57 km. (Package 9: Nagg Shah to Double Phattak, length=7.578 km) at the cost of Rs. 4344.73 million, Construction of Multan Metro Project, Supply, Installation, Testing, Commissioning, Operation & Maintenance of Escalator & Elevators at the cost of Rs. 3205.01 million, Construction of Multan Metro Project, Supply, Installation, Testing, Commissioning, Operation & Maintenance of Solar Street Lights, Generators and Platform Screen Door (PSD) at the cost of Rs. 3035.88 million and Rawalpindi-Islamabad Metro bus project, Construction of multi storied buildings for TMA controlled and command center, near Flashman Hotel Rawalpindi at the cost of Rs. 524.905 million.
