The Provincial Development Working Party Punjab Approved Nine Development Schemes
The Provincial Development Working Party Punjab approved nine development schemes of various development Sectors with an estimated cost of Rs. 15938.823 million.
These schemes were approved in the 37th meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) of current fiscal year 2014-15 presided over by the Punjab Chairman P&D Board Muhammad Irfan Elahi.
Provincial Secretary P&D Waseem Ajmal Chaudhary, members of the Planning & Development Board, Provincial Secretary concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant Provincial Departments also attended the meeting.
According to Spokesman for P&DD, the approved development schemes included: Construction of 100 bedded new Emergency Block at Punjab Institute of Cardiology, Lahore at the cost of Rs. 514.451 million, Establishment of 500 Bedded Wah General Hospital Tehsil Taxila District Rawalpindi at the cost of Rs. 1618.000 million, Up-Gradation of DHQ Hospital Vehari as a 300-Beds, Vehari at the cost of Rs. 625.357 million, Widening Improvement of road from Kot Nainan to Sukho Chak (length=26.50 km) in District Narowal at the cost of Rs. 465.466 million, Construction of Ghabir Dam Project, District Chakwal at the cost of Rs. 5131.994 million, Remodeling of SMB Link Canal and Enhancing Capacity of Mailsi Syphon District Vehari (Revised) at the cost of Rs. 4534.550 million, Protecting Banuhan Disty opposite Basti Rindan & Jakhar Imam Shah in District D.G. Khan at the cost of Rs. 246.021 million, Capacity Enhancement of the Punjab Police for Establishment of the Punjab Police Integrated Command, Control & Communication (PPIC3) Centre (PC-II) (Revised) at the cost of Rs. 163.794 million and Punjab Accelerated Functional Literacy & NFBE Project at the cost of Rs. 2639.190 million.
